A Papier June commission begins with a conversation, not about what you want your invitations to look like, but about how you see the world, what moves you, what you'd never want near your wedding.
From there, a concept begins to take shape. I explore materials, develop the design, and refine each detail until the suite feels complete.
You bring the feeling. I bring the experience to translate it onto paper.
The Paper
Every sheet starts in my studio. I form each sheet slowly from cotton fibre, water and natural pigments, then leave it to dry. The colour develops naturally through the materials and pigments I work with. The texture is what handmade paper does on its own, and that's the part you can't replicate.
The Process.
From booking to delivery, bespoke invitations typically take 3–4 months, while save-the-dates and day-of stationery typically take 2–3 months.
1— The conversation
Every commission begins with a video call. It’s a chance for us to meet, talk about your wedding and what you’re drawn to, and get a sense of what working together could feel like.
We’ll also talk through the practical details so I have what I need to put together an estimate tailored to your project.
2— The design
Once your commission is booked, I begin developing the concept and visual direction, exploring paper, typography, colour, composition and form as one complete idea.
You’ll receive digital mockups as the design takes shape, with three rounds of revisions included to refine every detail before final approval.
3— The making
Once the design is approved, production begins. Paper, printing, finishing details and assembly are carefully coordinated and checked before anything leaves the studio.
This is where the design becomes an object.
4— The delivery
Your finished stationery is carefully packed and shipped directly to you via tracked delivery.
Then it’s yours to send, hold onto, frame, or keep tucked away long after the wedding day.

Investment
Every bespoke commission begins with a fixed $3,000 design fee for the invitation suite, covering creative direction, concept development, digital mockups, and revisions through final approval.
Final investment varies depending on quantity, materials, printing methods and finishing details. Your complete investment is outlined in your estimate before booking. Couples typically invest between $6,000 and $10,000+ USD for their invitation suite, including design and production.
Save-the-dates and day-of stationery can be added separately.
Beyond the invitations
Save-the-dates
Designed ahead of your invitation suite, save-the-dates are the first introduction to the world we’ll create together. I recommend beginning approximately 12–15 months before the wedding.
Your stationery can continue beyond the invitation suite, carrying the same visual language through the rest of the celebration.
Day-of stationery
Menus, programs, welcome notes, vow books and other printed pieces can be developed from the same creative direction, creating continuity from the invitation through the wedding itself.
Large format pieces
Seating charts, welcome signs and other large-format pieces can be designed and supplied as print-ready files for production with your local printer or signage provider.
